How do you know how your horse does other than its placing, is there a play by play or do you get a message- how does it work? When does the race happen?

in the results under the race chart is a little sentecne about your horse. Like one of mine said "Distanced" which means it trailed the field the whole time and was farther and farther back as the race progressed. LOL ONe said "ran greenly" well he was probably swerving all over the tack in the stretch and not switching leads or something like that. If you have a question about the desciption just post it here and someone can help you i'm sure.

Results are done Friday night/Saturday morning. Once they're up, you go to the results page and select the track and date you want. For each race, you'll see the full order of finish including lengths behind at the wire. The owner, breeder, sire, and dam of the winner are included, along with chart comments for each runner. These comments (to pick a *completely* random example :D ) read something like this:

Capone - 1 chased inside then a bit off the rail, was briefly three deep midway on the second turn, continued outside a foe into the stretch, gained the lead alongside a rival nearing midstretch and inched clear late under urging.

Comments are a valuable tool in making future decisions for your horse - if they'll stretch out or sprint, if they're comfortable on dirt or turf, and, of course, equipment changes.

The other info that'll be on the results is the final time, up by the conditions of the race.
