I know we've only had 2 weeks of racing, but I've already got good news to report about horses sold in the last Riverstone Yearling Auction! Crimson Moon, purchased by Johnathan Pac, broke her maiden first time out by 1 1/2 lengths "easily". And, Accio placed a 1/2 length behind the winner for a 2nd place finish in his maiden race. Oh, and for those of you with Lion Heart babies- please try them on the turf, just a hint.
I'm offering 40 yearlings this year since there are now breeder rewards, and I can still gain something even if I let them go.
RULES: This auction is open to the public, but these horses may not be purchased for immediate resale. You must intend to race the horse you purchase for at least some of its career.
Please place your bids below on this thread. State the name or hip # and the amount you wish to bid. You cannot bid more money than you have (duh). There is no limit on how many horses you can buy. However, all horses have a minimum bid which is usually 1,000 dollars more than the stud fee at the time of breeding (I'd like to earn a little money here), though some are priced more accordingly to their value in my eyes. I'm not even tacking on a daily rate fee that I've paid for the past few weeks. The auction will end at approximately 6 PM EST on Feb. 24th. However, if bidding on a few horses goes a little over that time limit they will still be counted- I don't want so shut anyone out. To help out all of the bidders please say if you are "out" or "done" on a particular horse when you can or will no longer bid on them. That will help me know when to finalize all bids.
I will try to post "updates" on each new page of this thread. However, it is your responsibility to make sure your bid was counted- if I accidently left it off you must let me know before the auction is over or else it will not be counted at all.
