Not sure if I recall Lanie, hope she's not as accident prone as Samie.

Lesson Horse Oct. 17:
A young rider, Lanie, was excited to find out that No Easy Way Out is a retired racehorse! She's going to tell all of her friends to come ride at your barn, too!

I just saw this...sorry to hear you lost one of your favorites. :(

I've lost about 4 of my 21 year olds in the past few months. All of them ones I had purchased at the very first when joining this game.

Right now, I have 18 horses that are 20 years old up to the age 22 years old. One of them is my beloved Foremost at age 20. : (

Lanie has her own issues.... 8) Was she the one who fell off of the horse because it kicked the snake?

I had Fire and Flames doing the lesson barn thing and she helped a young girl overcome her fear of horses. I gave her some carrots to reward her. She fired back.

"Leave me alone, I'm cranky today."

So I switched and gave her a mint and she was more amiable.

"More please!'"

I had a fox hunter who lost her shoe and had to leave the hunt. So she got groomed to help alleviate the damage.

'I love the soft brush best!' :)

Happy Days are Here Again! 8)

Congratulations! Your horse, 'Missed Goal', won first place in today's horse show! The $10,000 prize has been placed in your account.

And

Congratulations! Your horse, 'Off to War', won second place in today's horse show! The $7,500 prize has been placed in your account.

Pensioners are all paid for two years now! And if I can only remember who Missed Goal is, he'll get some mints! :)

It looks like my pensioners this year are more inclined to be getting into trouble rather than earning money.

Lesson Horse Oct. 24:
No one's quite sure how Acts Of Courage keeps getting out of the stall but they keep finding him grazing on the lawn!

I'm glad to see that the extra lessons are paying off for Calculation

2012-11-01 Won first place in the horse show.
2011-06-23 Won third place in the horse show.

Sadly, Sami was prompted to tears by one of Calc's stablemates earlier in the week. Which leads me to the question: should we talk to Sami's parents about learning some other ways to deal with frustration instead of always resorting to crying? I just know that when she makes it to college, the less kind profs and TA's will eat her for lunch if she cries in chem lab or something.

I've had the same thoughts...lol. Maybe Sami should switch to goldfish...they are probably less frustrating than horses.

During today's fox hunt, Lighthearted took it easy and rode with the second field, bypassing the jumps.
I forgot all about him! Good on you boy! :D
