I'm sure it is, none of the updates ever mention anything about a fox that I remember (haven't had a fox hunter in a LONG time), plus Em is based in the USRochelle Zahacy wrote: ↑5 years agoI don’t know much about fox hunting (and since I learned that fox hunters don’t earn cash I stopped pensioning as them haha) but from a google search maybe the SIM’s fox hunting is based on the US version where the foxes are rarely killed? :#Stormy Peak wrote: ↑5 years agoI'm so against fox hunting that about twice in this game, I've accidentally hit the wrong button and turned one of my horses into a fox hunter and then wrote to Em to place either kill the horse or change it to a rodeo or eventer. Even in fantasy life, I hate the idea of 'blood sports' I just don't get how anyone can think it's fun to chase 1 fox with several dozen hounds, running it to exhaustion, as it probably feels terror, frustration and hopelessness in it's situation...as it finally can't go any further and is torn apart by the pack of dogs...and it's called a sport.Rochelle Zahacy wrote: ↑5 years ago After taking the pension hammer through my barn over the past week or so I am up to:
172 Eventers
5 Fox Hunters
4 Lesson Horses
90 Rodeo Horses
5 Stable Ponies (from before I was told how they worked lol)
Lets see if they can start making me some moneh!
I really wish that choice was gone from the game to be frank.
I have 28 stable ponies scattered about the world...I will even train my older horses with them from time to time as a light exercise. Also, sometimes I buy or claim a horse that has never been pony trained and so no matter where the new purchase is at, I usually have a stable pony close by as all my horses get Gate, Paddock, and Pony trained.

My last pensioner to earn money, Seen It All, was 18, as is Stormed In.
So -- Yay to my 18 year olds
I'm at $50,000 so far -- I ended last year with $35,000 in pensioner earnings. With luck, before the year is done, my pensioners could top that $50K and make it one of my better years since I started earning monies with my old horses. : )

Re: Brag About Your Pensioners Thread
Well... unless I get a few more prizes during break...this is my end of the year report for Year 52.
plus....
Ghost of a Chance - Won 3rd place in the horse show. $5,000
Trooper's Diamond - Won 1st place in the horse show. $10,000
Night Diamond - Won 2nd place in the horse show. $7,500
Monster's Shadow - Won 3rd place in the horse show. 5,000
No Lies - Won 3rd place in the horse show. 5,000
Year 52 TOTAL = $82,500
Those last last 5 horses bumped my earnings up quite a bit for this year. This is the 2nd best year I've ever had with the pensioners -- the best year being when it all started in Year 30, when my pensioners made $123,000. My total for Year 52 is $82,500 and as the break isn't over yet...I still might have to adjust my year end total.
Below is my record for each year and the grand total. I'm very proud of my pensioners.
I hope everyone else had nice end of year totals too.

Year 53 Earners
Seen It All - 3rd place in the rodeo $5,000 prize
Against Giving - 1st place in the rodeo $10,000 prize
Your Adam's Apple - 1st place in the horse show $10,000 prize
Sand Dervish - 2nd place in the rodeo $7,500 prize
Year 53 TOTAL = $32,500
Nice start for the year : )
One of the horses above, Sand Dervish, was a favorite of mine when she was racing. She was an Arabian that earned a little over $40,000 on the track. She's also the 2nd horse I've owned to have that name...and I hope to continue using it until I get it on a big horse that wins enough to protect the name. Unfortunately, when Sand Dervish retired, she turned out to be a mare with no potential to produce a winner...so I pensioned her. Glad to see she's still able to earn a little money for me. : )
