It's hard to say until they run, but both the sire and dam like turf, which is a good start, and the dam is from a nice family. It's always okay to ask about a breeding on the message board before you pull the trigger - that way, if someone says that the horse stinks, it isn't too late.

Breeding is addictive, but as a new player, you don't have to rush into it. I didn't breed very many horses at all my first two seasons in the SIM (although my first season, I joined in the final third of the year, so it was a short one), partly because money was tight (and I prioritized buying horses that could earn me money right now, as opposed to next year), and partly because I was trying to learn about pedigrees and breeding before actually doing it. There's no one right way to play this game - some people may start off breeding and do just fine, but that was my approach.
