Sometimes there is also the issue where your horse is in Florida or WA/CA and it is just as easy to ship to the Islands or Canada, respectively. I think sorting by distance would be immensely helpful as circuits don't always help. I've been wanting the entries page to be easier to navigate for years.

I'll go with this one as well.LaDonna King wrote:My suggestion....
When you click "find races for this horse" I would live for the list of available races to be able to be filtered by distance from where the horse is currently located. That way, if I wanted to enter a horse in tomorrow's races, I could quickly see if there were any races within a short distance without having to look through hundred oh other races half way around the world.

Re: One Small Thing
As long as we are getting into "find races for this horse" requests, how about showing races for a certain day, even if that horse is already entered in a race for that date?
The race a horse is entered for isn't always the best race for that horse!

The ability to search for horses in claimers. Maybe on the sales page. I hate going through race by race.

It just came to mind and i do not know if anyone else has suggested this but.... when breeding and you are selecting a stallion to use, it would be nice to toggle surface and distance type when in that list. God knows how long of a list the tb one is when you wait for it to load.

Re: One Small Thing
I would like to see a fitness percent when vetting a horse...
"Horse seems about 90% fit so go race your horse"
this would be a good way to determine if your horses need 2 or 3 weeks off and help gage older horses whom might be able to race with more activity when againg past 5 years old...
just a thaught thanks

Re: One Small Thing
All great ideas!
Mine is mixed breed specific. I really really wish, most specifically with the QH's, that the Horse-Type option of "Dirt Mid/miler" option brought up 400 to 650-yard races & that the "Dirt Router" just showed 870-yards.
I place my 400-650-yard QH's under the horse type "any dirt" ... unfortunately that brings up ALL the distances. If I place them just under "Mid/miler" or "Router" then I miss out on 1 or 2 distances that these horses are able to achieve.
I wish I could set my mid-distance QH specialist (those that thrive at 400 / 550 / 650-yards) had a horse-type categorization that only brought up those distances. Does that make sense?
OOh! And I would love the "INFO" category that you see barns to have the option of showing the gallop comments if desired. Right now it just shows the prices of horses for sale and I think if a horse is injured.

Re: One Small Thing
A few more, though they may be too involved for a small update:
-Show sire name in the entries for claiming races
-I constantly forget what the pedigree is of my training-age horses after I've pressed "Train This Horse", and have to go back to remind myself what surface/distance I was going to work the horse. It would be absolutely awesome for the pedigree (or even just the sire) to be somewhere on that page, at least for those with terrible short-term memories like me!
-It would be outstanding if, for SIMperior members who have selected a surface/distance preference for a training-age horse, the workout surface/distance drop-down menu would filter out surfaces that we obviously wouldn't use (i.e. it wouldn't show dirt workout options for a turf miler selection).

It would be nice to filter our racing barns for Steward's Cup nominees the same way we can for insured horses.

Re: One Small Thing
I'm sorry, I KNOW this is not necessarily a small thing, in fact may be a rather large thing... but I always forget this when these sort of requests are solicited, and since I JUST thought of it again now and happened to be near a computer, here goes.
My biggest, most urgent wish is for my SIM transactions to be sortable - by action, by year, by debit/credit - and maybe a tally at the bottom of each search. So I could, for example, actually see how much I spent on breeding during Y29 vs. Y31. Or to see a grand total of what I've collected in stud fees, etc.
Anyway, next time you officially ask for "One Small Thing", this will be my answer.

Re: One Small Thing
i think that players shouldnt be able to keep there stats private, firstly because in the real world stats are public and this is a game which you can use a fake name. secondly its a benefit knowing trainer stats and percentages when claiming. thanx
