Cerastium

Post by Peter Gleason »

Hey all

Starting a thread for my horse. She's having her second start on Wednesday after a first up 2L second a couple weeks ago in a maiden race.

The race is over 5f at Sandown. It's a pretty high quality race so not too confident about her winning chances. 8f at a country track...should go BANG

The end
Big Changes Electrocutionist x Subtle Admiration (Future Hero) $5K
Forty Four Years Worlds Abound x October Magic (Lokite Magic) $1K
Piston Azamour x Ipi Tombe (Manshood) $7.5K

Your trainer will be annoyed with that. He would have had her pumped up and ready to race. How frustrating!

Apparently it was a blessing in disguise according to the e-mail update. She had a very minor issue and now she runs for city prize money at Mornington with the field not as strong as last week and it's at her home track.

Plus I can actually see her race as I'm on study leave from work next week and Mornington is a pretty good distance from Melbourne for a country track (I mean she was nominated for Warrnambool and that would have been a bloodbath to get to)

Ran third in a Wednesday city race.

Needs to go back to a maiden, and is crying for some more distance - 6f at least - and she should be able to get 7-8f on breeding quite easily.

Headed to the track today - I met a bunch of the other owners today, and they're all super nice. Somehow we managed to score a free 3 course meal as well from the racing club

Nominated for maidens on Thursday at Seymour, Friday at Geelong and Sat at Mornington. Think the most likely is the Geelong race, a 6f maiden

3rd at Geelong

Think she might be one of those horses who runs on but never wins. More distance required apparently

Running tomorrow at Ballarat. I'm quietly confident!

Hoping there's not much more rain though

By the way...she's came a well beaten fifth in a race since the last post. The track was very heavy that day
