There will be a race named in honour of Emily Shields - Simhorseracing.com on Saturday October 13.

Art or myself will post on Friday what time of race for Saturday as there will be a 'gift' presentation to the winning connections. If you wish to be part of it, please join.

You get your picture taken in the Winner's Circle with the winning connections along with Emily.

Okay Saturday Night Details!

Baton Rogue at the Eaton Centre for 8pm - I have a table for 10.

So far all i know is the following are attending:

Turner, Bri, Me, Em, Art, Karie, Nick - other people please tell me if you are coming so I can add numbers if needed.

So the plan is to meet up before/after dinner walk around Dundas Square, and then take a trip to Yorkville and see what Toronto's nightlife has to offer. (Drinking and Dancing is not a must, you can meet up after or leave as you please :) )

And what of Monday lunch? My going anywhere is contingent on having my car back from the shop by then, which I was assured was going to be last Thursday but is now "we're hoping to have it ready for you by Friday." Harumph.

Tonight I'm starting to set aside things to pack!!

I plan to go full on Californian-in-Toronto, which means that since it's still in the 80's-90's here, I will either not bring anything sufficient and pretty much freeze, or I'll be decked out in my ear muffs, mittens, scarf, etc, and you'll all be like .......

Emily so far the weather reports are chilly Friday/Saturday with rain moving in Saturday night/all day Sunday. But Sunday is supposed to warm up....by the time you get here it will change, I'm sure, lol.

That's the only thing we can guarantee you, is there are no guarantees as far as the weather goes!

You got it. Going to try my best. Half-dead with bronchitis and I've worked 25 of the last 36 hours but if I wake up in any condition to pilot my car I'll be there.
