Two things:
This is awesome. Routing races look like the longest quarters races in history.
I could watch the Year 29 Steward's Cup Mile on repeat for perpetuity. Favorite photo finish.

I couldn't stop either and I loved all the colors of the horses. I don't mind the chasers hitting the fences because mine do that most of the time anyway! I didn't realize Date was really that far ahead earlier on in most of her chase races and it was a hoot to see her the only one on the screen and then all these other chasers come after her at the end. I never cured her of that free spriitedness but had fun with her anyway.

I really didn't think that I was going to like this but watching a deep closer in the final stages is genuinely exciting... even when I know the result beforehand anyway!
Thanks so much everyone involved!

So now are the race calls going to have race viewer playing in chat. That would be awesome like watching it live while the steward is calling the race.
I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day.

And what a surprise it is! Once again our game has risen to such heights! Kudos to the crew that put this together.
I never imagined I'd watch it until I watched Year 33's Arc...remember that race with all those millionaires in it...it would have been a heart breaker if Elysian Park had been beaten after sitting just off the lead...BUT Quite the Feat made up SO much ground. Even knowing the results I was urging him on!
Very cool!

Re: Today We Have a Saturday Surprise!!
I'm pretty sure this isn't going to be possible. Even with "live" race calls, official race charts aren't available until the usual post time. Also, eg, for SC races, players are cautioned to not retire horses that had the SC as their final start, until after the regular, official post time.So now are the race calls going to have race viewer playing in chat. That would be awesome like watching it live while the steward is calling the race.
So, I'm thinking that the race viewer is going to be the same way... you can't access it until after the official results are posted at the usual time.

Awesome addition to the sim, thanks sim team this is gold! I really liked watching Augmenting chase down his very talented older sister JoJo Dancer in the year 32 Synthetic Marathon, he came from out of the clouds.

Re: Today We Have a Saturday Surprise!!
Add me as another person who wasn't really interested in using a viewer....but I really enjoyed watching it. Much more exciting than I ever thought it would be. Thank you so much SIM team for working so hard for us!
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Re: Today We Have a Saturday Surprise!!
And me too! I did not believe it would contribute to my enjoyment of the game, but I was werong. I especially enjoy watching the ponies slow down or speed up through the race. I'm afraid now tha I'll spend even more time at my computer!
