Aidan obrien Colt Acapulco made his much awaited debut at Navan the other day, he scored by a hugely impressive 9 lengths and seriously looks some horse

He has long been held in high esteem by connections and the Galileo colt Acapulco (3c Galileo - Harasava by Darshaan) more than justified his home reputation with a fantastic nine-length success on his racecourse debut at Navan on Sunday.
Bred by Paget Bloodstock and trained by Aidan O’Brien, Acapulco looks to be another serious classic contender for Galileo, who is also sire of this year’s red-hot G1 2000 Guineas and G1 Epsom Derby favourite Teofilo.
"He gave us the right vibes at home last season but we didn’t get a run into him," said Acapulco’s jockey Seamus Heffernan. "He’s got a bit of class - maybe a lot."
Acapulco holds entries in the G1 Irish 2,000 Guineas, G1 Epsom Derby and G1 Irish Derby and he is likely to contest a classic trial on next start.
"He won this in the manner of a horse destined for much better things. He couldn’t have done any more here and will be worth his place in much better company," noted the Racing Post’s analysis of the race.
