Cast your vote now...

I would NOT be changing the races, say, the Hollywood Park races to Polytrack. Instead I would add an artificial circuit.

Seeing how the real tracks are switching to it, I guess it would be something the SIM could have too.

I edited my post to say it wouldn't replace dirt, no.

Since it wouldn't be replacing the existing dirt tracks, sounds like it is worth a try :)

I voted yes, though to be honest, I'm...not entirely sure what polytrack is. I'm assuming it's somekind of weird dirt/turf hybrid, but I don't really know.

It's an artificial dirt surface, doesn't change with the weather. Here's one type of surface, Tapeta: http://www.tapetafootings.com/

I like Polytrack the best of the artifical surfaces, but personally I like good ole' Dirt.

I voted no. Goodness knows a lot of people have a hard time knowing if their horse is turf or dirt... but then it could also be just a polytrack horse? That sounds even more complicated. Then we'll be breeding for polytrack horses.

Unless the surface change has no affect on the horse? In which case I'd be fine with that, since it wouldn't really matter anyway.

Do I make sense? I'm tired, so I might not. :P

Anything that may give my gals & guys a chance to succeed is good to me! It also should be better for training the yearlings/early 2yo's

The weird thing is, in the shower this morning (7:30AM CST) I was thinking about Sim polytrack, and if I ever got together enough money for a farm, I wanted to see if I could get it with a polytrack training track to save my babies' shins and knees.
I'm just here for the fun of it
