Up until Year 33, the Hall of Fame accepted 8 Thoroughbreds and 2 trainers a year. From Y34-44, it was now voted on every other year, and takes 8 horses (one of each breed and one Steeplechaser) and one trainer.
As of Y45, it is every year and takes 18 horses and one trainer.
Horses must have been retired for 10 years to be eligible (formerly 8 - 15).
