That One Rescue Horse

Post by The Steward »

We rescued the horse!! There will be pictures, etc tomorrow, as well as a DRF article, blog, and a mention on TVG. All three are supposed to include SIMHorseRacing.com and our help in the effort. I will post links/photos and the time we will get our shout out on air when it gets closer (should be tomorrow sometime).

Thanks again everyone who pitched in! Awesome!!

I am glad to hear this horse will be off the tracks and doing something a little safer for his age.

Congrats to those who worked so hard in getting him set up into a good home.

i am glad the horse wont have to run anymore good job emily and everyone who donated.
Got to start from the bottom to get back to the top. Just wonder how long that will take in the game and in life.

Stud Muffin!!! So glad to hear he at a good home. I remember him in the 08 Stuyvesant Handicap and nearly fell out of my chair laughing when I saw his name. Saw on FB that he's at Akindale now, sure Evening and Tac will show him how to play in the mud!

^ I always loled when I saw that Stud Muffin was gelded. Seems sort of funny that a horse named stud muffin can't be a stud haha

Stud Muffin has always been one cute horse. Obviously with a name of Stud Muffin, he has to be!

I will admit that all my guesses were so far off! I was thinking it was Schoolyard Dreams or Flying Pegasus haha

ive just watched videos of stud muffin winning the noble nashua & the empire classic hcap in 2008 both at belmont and you could see the desire to win and then i watched the last 4 races of his career and if ever a horse needed retiring it was sm he was ridden along as soon as the gates opened and took no interest at all finishing half the straight behind the winners, the will to race seemed to have gone or maybe father time had caught up with him, sad to see :( once again well done emily hope he has a long and enjoyable retirement.
