Apparently I am getting all the fillies......48 foals, 35 fillies, 10 gender selections used (and I think one of them was a colt, can't quite remember). 22 mares remaining + retirements (not counting the mares currently up for auction), I doubt I will breed them all.

Filly percentage so far=73%.

Beautiful.

Done, but Gah! 60% fillies. When I could pick my own, I ended up with 35% fillies. Hopefully, unlimited colts will help get me back on track (along with some serious culling).

I got something like ten fillies in a row last night and finally gave up and used up my selection credits on colts. It's still not even.

From 124 foals - 78 are fillies, most from the random button not the select gender one.

52% fillies, 48% colts. I used 14 of my choices with a few being selected as colts.

I still managed to weirdly end up almost exactly even - 43 colts and 41 fillies

even when you count the ones I bred for newbies - I still end up with

48 colts and 45 fillies
I'm just here for the fun of it

I ended up with 63 colts and 90 fillies. Random apparently thought my barn needed a ton of females.

I ended up with 50%-50%! And that is using my 20 picks

They should all be random. You can't choose gender in RL so why is it even an option?

Because it is a game :D There are a lot of things in the SIM that don't quite match up in real life. Are all tracks a mile in real life? Can a jockey ride 80 horses on 3 different continents in a night in real life? Can you buy a horse for a dollar in real life? Et Cetera, et cetera

Right, but any change towards more realistic "game" play is moving in the right direction in my book.
