SC Synth Mile

Off and running in the 35th annual Steward’s Cup – Yeti Spaghetti bumps with A Holiday Prayer at the start, those two veered and hit each other, Rythem of Light takes up off the heels of Love Burning, but both of those two are now gunned for the lead, Rythem of Light, Love Burning, then Yeti Spaghetti rushed up, Iron Man Jr, Battle Line, Kiumars, A Holiday Prayer, and Team America trails early. Into the backstretch they run now, Rythem of Light leading by a length, Love Burning tracks in second two ahead of Yeti Spaghetti, Iron Man Jr, then Battle Line, Kiumars, Team America second last and A Holiday Prayer, the favorite still trailing and they’re rounding into the far turn now, Rythem of Light is now being collared by Yeti Spaghetti! Yeti Spaghetti is up into second and gaining ground, Love Burning dropping back, and here is that move, A Holiday Prayer is up into fourth and flying, he had to go around Rythem of Light there, Team America from well back too, swinging into the stretch and Yeti Spaghetti is dashing away now! Yeti Spaghetti’s danger comes from A Holiday Prayer, after the rough start these are the two that will race to the wire, Team America third, A Holiday Prayer is being asked for everything, but Yeti Spaghetti is just too good today, he powers home to win the Mile, A Holiday Prayer settles for second, Team America and Rythem of Light.

SC Synth Marathon

They’re off in the Synthetic Marathon, Ooooch! Time Turner stumbled very badly at the start, Time Turner is nowhere early, Optimistic had to check around him. The filly Humming Bird eases out to lead early, no one wants to go with her so Humming Bird dances away on the front end, Quidditch was away alertly and settles in on the rail to be second, Life Out West outside him and then The Elder Wand, Time Turner and Optimistic at the back of the pack after that bad beginning, but they have a long way to go. So it is Humming Bird, about two lengths in front, followed by Quidditch, another two back to Life Out West, then The Elder Wand and Optimistic, Time Turner is trailing but only eight lengths front to back. Coming to the wire with a mile lap to go, Humming Bird now leads by three, she’s cruising out here and looking for a big upset, Quidditch is happy to sit in second, and he’s got four lengths now on Life Out West, who is two ahead of The Elder Wand, Optimistic and Time Turner are stride for stride, Time Turner is three-wide out there. They string out even further now, Humming Bird, Quidditch, then Life Out West has another four on the trailing trio, The Elder Wand, Optimistic and Time Turner. Five and a half furlongs left to go, and there he goes! Quidditch has had enough of the filly in front and in the blink of an eye he’s on the lead and a length clear! Humming Bird can’t stick with him, she spits the bit, Life Out West, The Elder Wand, they’re getting closer now, pulled together by the force that was Quidditch’s early move, Optimistic, Time Turner is still five lengths off the pace in last but he’s getting closer, and they’re going into the turn led by Quidditch! Life Out West, The Elder Wand passes Humming Bird, and Optimistic, Time Turner is being roused now, it’s time to move if you want to get to Quidditch, who is bounding into the stretch for the wire! Quidditch all out! The Elder Wand, Optimistic, and now Time Turner, he’s angling out around those two and he’s coming now, Life Out West fifth, Quidditch, The Elder Wand and Time Turner, Time Turner up into second now, but it’s all too late, Quidditch is too long gone, and Quidditch will win by a length and a half, Time Turner nips The Elder Wand, Optimistic hung in on the rail, then Life Out West and Humming Bird.

SC Synth Sprint

The gates open and they’re off, Gordon Lighthoof stumbles from the gate, Formidable * a step slow, but now he’s rushed up like a rocket, and the undefeated champ has his head in front of Barrack Street, who is going to push him early, Tractor is on the rail, those three kick clear, Hate Mondays, Bound Now, Buildmeupbuttercup, Last Rocket, Gordon Lighthoof, There Goes My Baby, West Covina, White Danger, and Miss Taylor Swift trails, they’re absolutely roaring up the backstretch in a three-horse duel up front! Barrack Street has his nose in front, Formidable * and stablemate Tractor, that trio has three lengths on the rest of the field, Hate Mondays, Bound Now, Buildmeupbuttercup, Last Rocket, There Goes My Baby and Gordon Lighthoof, they’re rushing around the far turn, three furlongs to go, Formidable * has his neck in front! Barrack Street, Tractor, three across the track, Bound Now up into fourth, then Last Rocket and There Goes My Baby gaining ground, they’re roaring into the stretch, Formidable * is all out! Barrack Street, Tractor, still these three, Barrack Street is battling hard, Tractor on the rail is in tight, Formidable *, Barrack Street coming at him again, an epic duel in the Synthetic Sprint, Barrack Street, Formidable * is all heart! Barrack Street, Formidable *, Tractor, photo finish in the Sprint! Too close to call between Barrack Street and Formidable *, a head bobbing finish, Tractor was third, then Last Rocket and Bound Now. (Formidable * by a nose)

SC Synth Matron

They’re off in the Matron, Smithers breaks very slow, veers in and bumps White Queen Runs, those two away behind the pack. It is the defending champion, Effy who goes to the lead, she bounds away uncontested early, Suchanobsession willing to track her early, Jewel, then Cottonelle and Smithers, White Queen Runs, Invariability, Yes I Do, Surprise Trip, and Taken Innocence trails early in the field of ten and they have seven furlongs to run. Effy, wow, she’s cruised out to a five length lead early! She’s pulling on the bit and wants to roll, Suchanobsession says, To heck with that and lets her go, Jewel, two lengths to Cottonelle and Smithers, then White Queen Runs, Yes I Do, Invariability, Surprise Trip, these are all tightly grouped, with Taken Innocence a length back last. Effy leads by six, but Suchanobsession is still moving easily, watching her go on ahead, Jewel, Cottonelle a length off her with White Queen Runs moving up, White Queen Runs will make the first bid, then Yes I Do and Smithers is dropping back, three furlongs left to go and Effy still leads but her lead is down to 2! Suchanobsession is getting ever closer, Jewel and White Queen Runs, Cottonelle tries to cling on but she’s circling the drain, and down the stretch they come! Effy is all out and under a drive! Here comes Suchanobsession charging on her outside, White Queen Runs and Jewel heads apart behind them, these four are looking for money, Effy was going awfully fast early, and now Suchanobsession is gaining with every stride, Effy asked for a little bit more, but Suchanobsession in a perfectly timed ride will get up and nail her on the wire. Effy second, White Queen Runs third, then Jewel and Yes I Do.

SC Synth Distaff

Racing in the Synthetic Distaff, sluggish start for D’s Jury, bumping between Absolute Scarlett and Snow Mittens. D’s Jury is hustled hard from the get go though, and D’s Jury is rushed up between horses to get the lead, Spinner’s End, Fairest of All, Frostfire, Eye Heart Khemmy, Faith Divides Us, Absolute Scarlett, tightly grouped out here, Battlefront Love, Snow Mittens, Unrelenting Fury and I’m Not Bad trails. Racing into the backstretch, D’s Jury leads by two to Spinner’s End and Fairest of All who are heads apart, Eye Heart Khemmy, Frostfire, three back to the next group, Faith Divides Us, Absolute Scarlett, Unrelenting Fury, Snow Mittens, Battlefront Love, and I’m Not Bad trails. The mile is going quickly here, fast pace set by D’s Jury, Spinner’s End pressing, and here is Fairest of All making a big move! Fairest of All from third to first in the blink of an eye! D’s Jury doesn’t know what hit her, Frostfire gaining ground into third, they’ve got three furlongs to go and the race shape has changed. Fairest of All, Frostfire, D’s Jury dropping back, Faith Divides Us up into fourth, Snow Mittens from the back of the pack, it’s still wide, wide open, Spinner’s End, not today, terrible run for Spinner’s End, down the stretch they come! Fairest of All has a two length lead! Frostfire is coming at her, and her stablemate, Faith Divides Us, three wide into the lane but pouring it on, three across the track, Fairest of All, Frostfire on the rail, and Faith Divides Us, Snow Mittens back fourth, Battlefront Love; Fairest of All, here’s Faith Divides Us with one big lunge, and she throws her neck in front right before the wire, Faith Divides Us scores over Fairest Of All and Frostfire, Snow Mittens fourth.

SC Synth Classic

They’re off and running in the Classic, Lady Rose stumbles badly at the start, bumping into W. H. Mccarty, Moe pinched back. Rough break for three of the six runners, they run in tandem for a bit, now W. H. Mccarty tries to run off to lead, no one wants to go with him, Perfect Sunday settles in second, Moe, D’s Excaping, the undefeated favorite relaxes into fourth, Lady Rose fifth, then Dirt Road Phil. So they go into the clubhouse turn led by W. H. Mccarty, who has two lengths on Perfect Sunday and Moe, two back to D’s Excaping, who runs in tandem with Lady Rose, and another length back to Dirt Road Phil. Up the backstretch, W. H. Mccarty leading by three, Moe and Perfect Sunday are heads apart, four back to D’s Excaping, then two to Lady Rose and Dirt Road Phil. Coming to the far turn now, a half mile to go and Perfect Sunday has moved up to take the lead! Perfect Sunday a head to Moe, W. H. Mccarty backing up, D’s Excaping is still fourth, time to move on the big horse, then Lady Rose, Perfect Sunday swinging into the stretch, but here he comes now! D’s Excaping is rallying three wide down the center of the track, and it looks like he’s been shot from a cannon! D’s Excaping from fourth to second, and now passes Perfect Sunday, and Perfect Sunday is absolutely stunned, he watches as D’s Excaping moves off and we are watching a truly special horse, D’s Excaping will make it a perfect ten, he’s going to win by five geared down, Perfect Sunday has to settle for second again, then Lady Rose and Moe.
