I've been limiting my horses by getting rid of or pensioning broodmares. I like to keep all the horses I've bred even if they gallop poorly, so I don't cull the yearlings I cull the broodmares. But the ones I pension are the one's I'm keeping in my "pasture," I don't think I've ever purposefully GPd a mare I just pensioned.

That's a bummer about that mare, but that's part of why I keep most of my horses myself even if they're just in my pasture, cuz I don't always like what other people do with them.

My blue hen mare (of those few I've checked): http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=170480 ... produces lots of scaries & wows... But nobody real exciting on the track.

But on the flip side, Wineberg (http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=83527) was another blue hen mare. She didn't disappoint. Her daughter Moon Lark (http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=126865) is a blue hen mare. Moon Lark's top running daughter thus far is Song Lark (http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=267536) who is formidable.

A bunch of my Arab mares got the "potential" comment, and went on to produce stakes winnerS.
