I've bred my first two!

As always, my first mare to breed was my heart - Art Fan. This year's baby is a sturdy black colt by the name of Lucas, in honor of George Lucas. His daddy is Lonhro. I expect great things from this guy :)

The second is one I've been waiting my entire SIM career to breed, my namesake:

Tenshichild, daughter of Yamikishi and Promiseworthkeepng, bred along the same lines as Mallory's Evildoer. She's a tiny white filly, no bigger then her sire and smaller then her dam. I have a ton of hope for this girl, I believe she will do me proud. I can't wait until she's 2!
At Stud:

Yamikishi - Winner of multiple stakes, including Steward's Cup Sprint. Sire of stakes winning sprinters, like Heroism. Stands for $10,000.

First three, and last three for a little while:

Provincial dkb. f. Ghostzapper-Unimaginable, Worth Fighting For
-I really wanted to take advantage of breeding to Ghostzapper before his fee went up. I hope she'll turn out ok. She's named for the (supposedly) haunted Hotel Provincial in the French Quarter in New Orleans.

Amusing ch. f. Distorted Humor-Nantli, Storm Cat
-She's based off the cross that produced Laughterintherain, so hopefully Amusing can emulate some of her success.

Givenchy ch. f. Giant's Causeway-Mightnight Memories, Midnightconfession
-The best cross in this one's dam's family came with Giant's Causeway or Giant's Causeway-line horses. Since I actually don't own a foal out of her, I've got my fingers crossed for this one.

Here are my first two. I've been hmmm-ing and hawwww-ing over them for a while now, but I finally got them straightened out and they're on the ground!

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=41672' target='_blank'>Concannon</a> - ch.c. - Silent Witness x Enduring Knight (by Pulpit).
<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=41671' target='_blank'>Claudia Jean</a> - drk.f. - Storm Cat x Kumari Continent (by Kris S).

Okay, time for dorky confession time. These two are named after my favorite pair of characters on "The West Wing"...and I fully intend on breeding them when they retire. Yes, I'm a dork, but I'm okay with it!!

Okay ...well, I bred 29 so far. Highlights:

Anrui (California x Ami), filly
I used to run a RPG called Anrui and so for this special filly is a special name!

Flimflam (A.P. Indy x Hidden Storm), filly
Full sister to multiple stakes winner and BC Distaff runner up Spoof.

May Day (Lost Soldier x May Star), filly
Full sister to BC F/M Sprint winner Come What May.

Sniggler's Quarry (Shirocco x Scarlet Rose), filly
The name came to me in a dream years ago and I've saved it ever since. Dam's other foals are all winners.

Abulia (Le Dauphin Noir x Serena's Sister), filly
Dam is a full sister to Serena's Song. I used to play a horse named Abulia in a RPG years and years ago.

And finally ...

SCHRUTE BUCK (Giacomo x Spoken Fur), colt
Need I say more?

DADDY SCHRUTEBUCKS (Scatter the Gold x Let Him Fly), colt
Hooray!
Frayed - $75,000
Liveinthemoment - $25,000
Same - $10,000
It's Been Awhile - $10,000
Grindelwald - $10,000
Skywatching - $7,500

Triple Crown Trail, colt, Gaze Unwavering x Yearly Report by General Meeting.
Full to Derby Report. Parents have both had some fertility issues, so this has been a while in the making ...

My first foal of the year:

Reagan (b.f.0 15) Afleet Alex X New Hope Seven (Carson City)

Because I'm trying to lead by example!

3X4 inbreeding isn't too bad, right?

Oh, I named the filly after my cat, who is also named Reagan.

New sprint fillies, from two very pretty Symbol mares:

Fox
Sic Transit Gloria - Starry Eyed, Symbol
Mom and dad were my Year 16 entrants in the Twin Spires S., and ever since then I had decided that they should make a baby someday. Starry Eyed is so pretty.

Magic In My Head
Ghostzapper - Happy Ending, Symbol
Obviously a proven cross, and mom is a Breeders' Cup winner and champion daughter of Embrace. Her name is really, really special to me.
