I retired Dolphin and bred her to Palpitations.

Bred to run all day, this filly is a true test of Voltaic's ability as a stallion. With this mare alone in his first crop, he has no excuses. And I'm pretty sure Susie is sending him a nice mare or two, too.

I still have to breed Sweptawaybythetide, but she's waiting for Tondeiru to be put up.

Her second foal, but I like Explode so much I had to post about it. Named for a Toronto neighbourhood, as I plan to do with all of Scarborough's babies. Was hoping for Lakeshore, where a lot of my friends live, but it was taken...and the locals' name for the area "the Dirty Lakeshore"...just wouldn't make a very good name for a horse, now, would it. So Kingsway it is.

This girl, I love her. She's actually my favorite foal this year. Her name is perfect and I'm so glad she ended up being 16.3 (big chestnut filly!). I love the cross and her mom was a really consistent allowance horse. I hope we will all get to know her in time.

That foal has a lot of Three Chimneys Stud names in her pedigree!

Both War Chant and Dynaformer are beauties.

EDIT: Also, I retired Fusaichi Typhoon. She's 5 years old, it's time to give her a good, long life as a broodmare.

This is her first foal. I am so excited for her!! She looks almost just like mama except two inches taller!

OK mildly disappointed with my week and mildly angry with myself for messing up, I decided to launch myself into breeding last night. Here are the results.

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=47411' target='_blank'>Baltimore And Me</a> Yume Senshi out of Chorus by Anthem. Lyrics from the "Chorus" of my favorite song from "Hairspray." She's a chestnut filly.

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=47149' target='_blank'>Dawson's Creek</a>, another chestnut filly, this one by Inspired Myth X Wyoming out of Storm A Fortress. The name speaks for itself. Hopefully she won't have mismatching eyebrows.

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=47448' target='_blank'>Et Tu Brute</a>, a dark bay filly by Caesar Augustus out of Madame Mischief out of Kingmambo. She's awesome already.

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=47390' target='_blank'>Hershiser</a>, a dark bay filly by Right Hand Man out of Lady Discreet by Boundary. I figure if I'm going to breed a turf sprinter and it's not by Storm Cat, why not breed to the BC Turf Sprint winner?

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=47359' target='_blank'>Planet Dave</a>, a black filly by Saturn out of Forgotten Dream by Lost In The Fog. Saturn's yearlings are IMPRESSIVE so far, and he's a bit under the radar since Sic's are also IMPRESSIVE.

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=46567' target='_blank'>The Professor</a> a black filly by Chapel Royal out of Halifax by Icon. A hard-knocking sprint claimer that I hope eventually tops Chapel Royal's earnings list.

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=47348' target='_blank'>Turbulence</a>, a chestnut filly by Inspired Fate out of Takeoff by Anthem. Throwing a little speed into an Anthem mare can't hurt. Plus, sometimes when you take off, there's a little turbulence. This is how I make names.

I've got a few left, but breeding seems to always help when you're a little disappointed

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=47645&' target='_blank'>Taira</a> is in Epic's first class, and is the first foal from Kagami.

Since her dam is named after an anime character, I went with the clan name of a family in a Japanese "epic", Heike Monogatari.

Taira was going to be a colt, but the name sounds more feminine to my American ears, so filly it is.
