I can't send *everything* to Caesar (although next season she will be paying him a visit), I said I'd be sending a mare to Voltaic and I'm a Voltaic fan anyways, the name fits AND I got another horse named after a Rush song in the process.......positives all around.
Caesar will be getting a mare or two from my camp next season, as well. I just don't have enough mares to support my guy and help my favorites out at the same time.

Nice baby, by the way!

Just retired a couple of my mares (that would be three I've ever retired in my three SIM years) and came up with the following, sure to disappoint foals:

Bah Black Sheep b.c.0 16.3 (Le Dauphin Noir - Bahijah, by Esteem)

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=48108' target='_blank'>http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php ... D=48108</a>

and

Pleasant dkb.f.0 16 (A Crown Awaits - Gone Pleasant, by Gone West)

I have zero hopes for the first and slightly better than zero hopes for the second. I'm still waiting for that first homebred winner!

Does a foal really have to go here to be legal???

If so here's mine.

Ski the River a black colt by Jet Ski and River Tam by Accolade.

I really liked him until Jolene Danner (former owner of River Tam who gave her to me at the beginning of my career here) pointed out that there was a 2X3 with Canoe that I somehow missed. Both mom and dad seem very durable so I hope he is as well. This horse should have lots of bottom on the dirt.

No...

People just like to show off.

I love to see who the major mares are going too, (along with everyone else) that is the main purpose of this thread.

Speaking of inbreeding, I just recently noticed the pedigree of <a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horseped.php?HorseID=2801' target='_blank'>Out Of Focus</a>. Sheesh, I can understand the name, given the probable existence of a third eye on this one.

But still, quite a horse. Turned out OK for him.

OK, reading a bit has led me to believe I committed a minor ethics violation of some sort by retiring some...non winners...at 3 and putting them on the sales page as mares. Forgive me, for I am weak-willed and drooling over the two year old in training auction and looking for every edge I can. However, I am more than willing to breed my...non winners...to create a couple of claiming horses who could make me (or someone) some money.

First, introducing <a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=48118' target='_blank'>Cheaty McBasshands, </a> named after a true gentleman in the sport by Afleet Alex out of Woke Up Lookin by Woke up Dreamin. Or something

Secondly, and this one is CHOICE...

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=48159' target='_blank'>Penguin</a> um... Voltaic out of Lookin Fine by Intergaze.

I apologize to all current, former, future, and intergalactic newbies for my bad behavior. You can award me no points, and may god have mercy on my soul.

(extra points to anyone who knows the movie reference without googling.)

WOW am I in trouble. I still am not done breeding my mares this year (23 left, though many are going to my own stallions), and I'm at the lowest in amount of money I've had since my first or second SIM year here. I'm not sure what I'm going to do...

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=48208' target='_blank'>Burn The Flag</a>: gray filly (American Baby-Burn The Land [Malibu Moon])
This name totally fit, and I'm surprised it wasn't already taken. I love the mare, and she's a stakes winner to boot!

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=48209' target='_blank'>Heliopath</a>: chestnut filly (Strongerable-Cajun Heat [Samurai])
The name comes from Harry Potter, and is one of Luna Lovegood's things that she talks about. I drove back from Kentucky yesterday, and listened to the 5th book almost the entire way, so when I heard her talking about heliopaths, I had to use it somewhere. I can't remember exactly what heliopaths are except that they're some sort of flame and throw balls of fire. The dam here is one of my best claims ever, I do believe!

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=48214' target='_blank'>Implosion</a>: bay colt (Explode-Noise and Kisses [Trust])
I thoroughly enjoy this baby! I adore the dam, as every one of her babies is not only a winner, but also at least stakes-placed. Her 2yo of this year is also a stakes winner.

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=48216' target='_blank'>Lost Boy</a>: chestnut colt (Lost-Twisty Girl [Distorted Humor])
From Peter Pan!

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=48211' target='_blank'>Midnight Matinee</a>: dark bay filly (Streamer-Cinema [Theatrical])
From a foal swap with Ara! I thought the name was ironic, and thought of it when Matinee was already taken.

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=48212' target='_blank'>Mufasa</a>: chestnut colt (Rainbow-Hakuna Matata [El Prado])
Can you guess where I'm going with naming this mare's foals?

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=48215' target='_blank'>Peeping</a>: bay colt (Kotya Peekin-Pennant Race [Zenno Rob Roy])
Peeping...Tom!

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=48213' target='_blank'>The Hamptons</a>: bay colt (A P Valentine-Hampton Roads [Chesapeake Bay])
I was thoroughly pleased that this name wasn't taken!

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=48210' target='_blank'>Windy</a>: chestnut colt (Duc de Berry-Cautiontothewind [High Chaparral])
This one was really annoying to name, but the dam was a solid runner for me.

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=48217' target='_blank'>Zillion</a>: gray filly (Ghostzapper-Zawzooth [Unbridled's Song])
My FAVORITE!!!!! SO pleased that this name wasn't taken! I came up with it months ago, but I won't reserve a name so I just had to hope nobody else thought of it first.

Another foal destined for mediocrity:

If I thought I was in trouble before, now I'm in even deeper. I'm trying to find cheaper alternatives for these, so hopefully they turn out okay. I still have three more mares to breed, but they're all to relatively expensive stallions. I'm really not sure how that's going to happen though!

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=48229' target='_blank'>Allegany</a>: bay colt (Broken Hearted-Chesapeake Dreams [Chesapeake Bay])

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=48234' target='_blank'>Arabian</a>: dark bay colt (Desert Victory-Rising Star [Unheard Of])

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=48227' target='_blank'>Belle Croix</a>: gray filly (Southern Cross-Belle Nuit [Dr. Carter])
Out of the dam of Octave!

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=48230' target='_blank'>Empty Quarter</a>: bay colt (Desert Victory-Fight The Laughter [Worth Fighting For])

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=48250' target='_blank'>Fit</a>: chestnut colt (Refuse to Bend-Temper Tantrum [Chrismatic])

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=48245' target='_blank'>Hit And Run</a>: chestnut colt (Refuse to Bend-Who Did It And Run])
WOW. How was this one not taken?

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=48246' target='_blank'>Isle Of Mull</a>: bay colt (Scottish Halo-Willyoulistentome [Ready for Apremont])

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=48243' target='_blank'>Kirkcudbright</a>: gray colt (Scottish Halo-Tree Flower [Forestry])

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=48251' target='_blank'>Negev</a>: bay filly (Desert Victory-Breakingdownwalls [Storm A Fortress])
Bought this mare with the intention of sending her to another stallion this year, and Desert next year or the year after, but I couldn't afford another stallion that I liked this year, so to Desert this year it is!

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=48249' target='_blank'>Overzealous</a>: chestnut colt (Refuse to Bend-Zwolle [Star Studded])

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=48240' target='_blank'>Pitlochry</a>: bay colt (Scottish Halo-Stormy Song Cat [Unbridled's Song])

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=48232' target='_blank'>Preordained</a>: chestnut filly (Boise-Promise Me [Jet Ski])

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=48236' target='_blank'>Rawdha</a>: bay colt (Snuggle-Riyadh [Sinndar])
Not my first choice, but pretty anyway!

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=48228' target='_blank'>Red Wine</a>: chestnut colt (Refuse to Bend-Beronia [Three of Crowns])

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=48247' target='_blank'>Saint Andrews</a>: chestnut colt (Scottish Halo-With Someone [Malabar Gold])

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=48244' target='_blank'>Tabernas</a>: bay filly (Desert Victory-Truthful [A.P. Indy])

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=48242' target='_blank'>Team Bending</a>: gray colt (Refuse to Bend-Team Charisma [Charismatic])

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=48241' target='_blank'>Weathervane</a>: chestnut colt (Refuse to Bend-Stormy Weather [Storm Cat])

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=48238' target='_blank'>Windmill</a>: gray colt (Refuse to Bend-Rumor Mill [Millenary])

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=48248' target='_blank'>Yoko Ono</a>: dark bay colt (Medallist-Yonastoica [Yonaguska])
I pressed "Submit" before I realized I hadn't switched it from random to filly! Whoops!
