Chatroom Reopens Tonight

The SIM chatroom is a place where players get to interact in real-time. The main purpose of the chatroom is to provide a place where players can share their experience. It is a place where new players can get input from veteran players.

On December 12th, the chatroom was used to post inappropriate images that had nothing to do with the game. In addition, there have been instances of rude and discourteous things being said in the chat. We have players of all ages in the SIM and we are dedicated to providing a safe and appropriate environment to all our players.

As a result, we have come up with a new approach to the chatroom in an attempt to protect its intended purpose.

- The chatroom will be open from one hour before until one hour after each race.
- There is a new system which allows chat participants to report abuse. If you feel that a player is posting inappropriate or offensive material in the chatroom, you can click on their name in the list of users and choose "Report Chat Abuse" from the drop-down menu. You may need to allow pop-up windows in your browser for this function to work. From there, you can indicate what you believe was inappropriate. Even though you will not receive a reply, we appreciate your observations and thoughts and will consider your report to make further adjustments.

We will try this new approach and make adjustments as necessary. We hope to be able to open the chatroom more often in the future.
