Optimistic retires

Multiple GR 1 winning millionaire and Y36 AW horse of the year Optimistic (West-Sweet Astonishment-Astonishing) has retired to stud and is standing in Illinois which makes his foals eligible for the lucrative week 12 IL bred Stakes races.

GR 1 wins include the AW Stewards Cup Marathon, Plastics Classic and Synthetic Derby.

Winner of stakes from 1 1/16th to 1 1/2 miles with consistently high speed figures throughout his career he was a force on the track now looking to be a force in the shed.

The best son of now pensioned top AW route sire West he looks to be the chosen one to pass on the regal bloodlines.

Stands for $15k

VERY affordable! I was hoping he'd get one more SC win, but I'll take him! Or at least send a few mares to him. :)

Ha, so was I Madelene, his last couple results caught me by surprise I guess he peaked a couple of races before his retirement unfortunately... He's still a beast and looking forward to meeting everyone's ladies!
