The Feature Race is the SIM's player-driven newsletter. We welcome any player that wants to submit an article to try their hand at writing, and we pay per-article.
Articles that are 300-500 words receive $20,000.
Authors are paid an additional $1,000 for every 500 words beyond that.
Interviews with another player receive $15,000.
We know that English is not everyone's first language, and we strive to edit and accept your articles even if this is the case. Articles hyping up your own horse/stallion/etc will not be accepted, nor will any articles about real life racing or fantasy stories. "Part 2s" will not be given extra money and will be treated as though they belong with the first part. Please capitalize your titles and all proper nouns, and use correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar to the best of your ability. If the editor on duty has to spend an excessive amount of time "fixing" your article, the payment may be decreased.
Currently, you may submit up to 4 articles per week. If that limit changes, it will be reflected on the Feature Race and submission pages.
