Trying to get into AWs
I need some help/advise. I'm looking to expand into AW horses (perferably milers) but I am not seeing a lot for sale or even up for auction.
Any suggestions?

Re: Trying to get into AWs
I'd look at claiming races for fillies. That's what I did when I branched into AW, and I had some stakes winners in my first homebred crops.
A filly's racing record doesn't necessarily have anything to do with her broodmare quality. There's some that might just barely be able to break their maiden, but they have a strong enough pedigree to be a higher level broodmare.

i throw out any below wings but they are nice pedigrees, so I would look owned by Alexandra Jaysman bred by me... same with Lee Cara bred.

If you have GPs available, I would recommend buying some Synthetic Speed or Synthetic Strength mares. They are fabulous broodmares!

All, thanks for the comments. I'll be scouring the claiming circuit.
Nena, do you mean create a mare? I am not finding either of those sires in the list. If not, I don't know exactly what you mean.

Re: Trying to get into AWs
I am taking Nena's advise. I just did 2 CAH's.
2yos, a male by Synthetic Strength and a filly by Synthetic Speed. Initial workouts were encouraging. Their names are Synthesized and Processed.

Synthesize' definitely has potential over fences - should win a few steeplechase races."
Andrea, thought I would give you this heads up'Processed' looks like might be best as a steeplechaser. Good luck. So definitely give her that chance as well when she is older

I will keep that in mind if they are failures as AW. This is not what I was aiming for though. I guess I will see how it goes.
