2015 Melbourne Cup Sweep

Given Peter isn't here to run it this year, I'm doing the sweep!

For those who are not familiar with how a sweep works - basically each person participating will be allocated a horse in the race before the start of the race. If your horse wins/ places in the Melbourne Cup, you get money!. There are 24 spots in the sweep and there is a fee of $50k SIM to enter.

Prizes will be as follows:

1st: $1.5m
2nd: $500k
3rd: $300k
Last: $200k

Discover More About the Race That Stops a Nation
The Melbourne Cup is known in Australia as "the race that stops a nation". On the first Tuesday of every November, Australians stop and turn on the television to watch 24 runners compete over 3200 metres (2 miles) for one of the world's richest and best turf races. Sweeps like this one are run everywhere and a lot of people take the day off to get dressed up and go to their local races. I will personally be riding at one of my local country tracks called Kumbia!

If we do end up with huge interest in this, I'll do a double sweep if we can get a full 48 people sign up. I'm not sure there is enough time to hunt up that many people, but if it does happen I will do two sweeps. Otherwise, first in best dressed is the rule.
