An unexpected gift, I have many people to thank.
First to Laura Ferguson, for seeing the potential in his dam, Ominous Spiritus. She leased her when I thought she was a lost blue hen. When Lightning was two and breaking her maiden with a 99 speed figure, Robespierre galloped very special and I had new hope!
Second to Brianna Mckenzie and Xander Zone, who both brushed aside my disappointment after his first race. Evidently getting wiped out running 4 1/2 furlongs doesn't mean a death sentence, lol.
Then to Karl Smythe, who if it were not for him, I'd have chickened out of running in the 2 Year Old Sprint Championships. I figured after winning the Elimination with a 93 speed figure, he was sure to bounce. Karl said, "Enter the d---- horse" and that was that.
He had a heck of a career at the track and I wanted to put together a decent band of mares for him. The problem being that my mares are mostly turf and now I have a whole new group of people to thank...
To Gigi Gofaster, for leasing me some of the nicest producing mares!
To Jeff Cashell for opening him up to his quarter horse family.
To Brandon McNulty who allowed me to get the best of an awesome deal.
To Brianna for your constant support in the shed!
To Xander for sending a group of his awesome mares to him. You are right Xander, if he doesn't make it with this bunch, I'll shoot him myself, lol.
And to every one of you who has sent him a mare or two, my heart felt thanks!

What an Awesome mare, awesome stud and awesome trainer.
Looks like all of Robespierre's brothers and sisters are all crazy good too.
I am surprised the steward hasn't tried to get a foal from Ominous Spiritus.
