Calabria King is a 2y/o Paint colt who I've raised since he was a baby after leasing his dam from Jo Ferris, who is always so generous with her mares. I knew that he had a real shot heading into the SC, but I wasn't quite sure how good he was, especially after his 6th place finish in the Week 11 G1. I also messed up and put him in a sprint stakes in Week 1 (greedy for purse money and thinking maybe he could get some even though he's a midder), but he weathered it well and is now enjoying some much deserved rest before his next race!
