Wasn't The Tin Man's day I guess... Jambalaya did good though! And it looked like a tough race for all involved!

I read that they cut the turf yesterday and it still was 6 inches deep.. The turf was described as "bottomless"

Gotta LOVE The Tin Man, no matter what, still giving his all. Wish more horses stuck around and ran as 4-5-6 yo's, but there is money to be made...sigh...

Worst Million I've ever seen.
26.34 :50.88 1:16.15 1:40.57 2:04.76

The fillies were 10 lengths in front of this group. Irridescence should have opted for this spot.

they closed fairly well considering the shape of the grass. 24.19 seconds. I was screaming for the Tin Man, but ah well.

Personally, I thought all three races were good races - times notwithstanding, as the fillies clearly beat the times from the Sec and the Million. I thought they were good races for the pure competition...each race was fought down to the wire, and that's the kind of race I like to see!

I sure wish The Tin Man would have been there at the end, but he still fought hard, and the reception he got when returning was heartwarming. The crowd went bonkers when he took the lead coming into the stretch... I love that feeling of everyone pulling for the same horse. Such a sense of community!

Haha...he stayed in the barn where a friend of ours works, and when we asked him if Jambalaya had an accent, he did indeed confirm that in the morning Jambalaya goes OOT to the track.

HAA.

Sorry, I love Canadians, and every now and then I somehow end up using Canadian pronunciation too.
