<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=26255' target='_blank'>Historic</a>

If I retire Historic at the end of the year, is there going to be any interest in him as a sire? He has never been off the board (so far, he has 2 more races this year) and tries everytime he runs. He is a dual Grade 1 winner and has numerous stakes placings. His only problem is his seconditis but I think a little bit of that is my fault. He is a really nice horse with good breeding and I feel like he could make a good sire, but is there going to be any outside interest? I am saving all my good mares for him so that he has every chance to prove himself as a sire, but is it going to be worth it?

I would LOVE input!!!

Thanks!

Certainly wouldn't be the worst stud. I like him.

Of the sons of Loki Masterpiece, you have Bebravedon'tcry and then...Historic (assuming Monet isn't retiring this year). Bebravedon'tcry doesn't have a sparkling group of racers yet, but I like Historics dam side better, being from Gentlemen.

I am a newbie, so don't put a lot of stock into my opinion, but I'd definitely have this horse on my stallion list for my 9-10 furlong dirt mares, depending on affordability of course.

I was going to send <a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=24635' target='_blank'>Talkninyoursleep</a>to him.

I'd send <a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=29618' target='_blank'>Light Of My Life</a> to him as well, if I retire her this year. I may bring her back for some longer distances next year, though.

He is going to retire. AND he just won the 1 1/2 mile Clasico Jockey Club del Peru (Gr.1) this week which makes him a multiple grade 1 winner. He loves a route of ground! Save your distance mares for him! :D :D
