Midnight Soprano made Nicholas Johnson pretty happy tonight.

Troubadour did not do the same for Nick Gilmore.

Dr. Stephens' victory in the G3 Sir William Stakes sends Laura Smith into second place, just behind George Knatz, after the Week 3 Friday Europe races.

Thunder Bay, Just Come Home and Make 'Em Hot posted 90s in their victories (Make 'Em Hot made me especially happy with that effort).

Au contraire, it could have been worse. This race probably made Dave Trainer happy and I’m thrilled, lol

Candy's victory in the Grade 1 City of Gold Cup has pushed Laura Smith out to a somewhat sizable lead.

King of Ashes won the G2 Northern California Bunbury with a 90.

I will make more entries updates later, as I'm battling a sinus pressure headache.

Candy and Loveless are looking very, very nice, but I'm pleased with King of Ashes, especially as he was my fourth pick!

Candy was a fourth-round pick, too. Stolen Dance and With Class were also later-round draft picks making a big difference.

Can't believe he came up AFTER Moon Faced considering King of Ashes is a 'freak' but then again you might not be able to tell looking at his 2yo form. Well here's hoping he continues to run like a freak this year!

No, I wouldn't have guessed - well, lucky me if he turns out to be even freakier as a 3yo, hehe.

Points updated through Monday's races. I'm going to wait a day to update entries because I'm still half in a general anesthetic fog.

Mauretania was the day's big winner, taking the G1 Hot Springs Bunburette.

I'm taking on myself! May the best me win. Of course, I also have to lose. Doh. (If I get a 1, 2, that would redeem the situation somewhat!)

Grade 1 wins by Goodnite Goodnite (Japanese Spring Marathon, 92) and The Good Kisser (Hong Kong Silver Cup, 91) in Asia have Garret Folsom and Kaine Saracen feeling good. Folsom vaulted past Laura Smith into the lead, but there's a lot of racing still to come today.

Wild Tiger Soul (Danish Jockey Club Stakes) and With All My Love (Danish Trophy Stakes) pick up G2 victories in Europe.

Moon Faced won the Premio dell'Italia with a sizzling 95.

Laura Smith edged back ahead in the standings.
