I've been averaging five to six mares a year, and this year was no different. I had five affected, some of them nice, and one of them very nice, Kudos, but my absolute best mares were okay, so I'll take it.
One of my stallions finally got hit with the infertility bug - Harlington, and again, with so many Unbridled line stallions, if I have to get hit, I'll take it. Much better than say, Black Condor or California.
How'd everyone else do?

I gave Afleet Alex to Chris Briggs, and it looks like he made it. Good for him. I still have Brigadier Brooks, and his boys are rockin. So...he's rarin to go.
As far as mares are concerned, three of my 49 are barren, only one of which I had plans for. My best mares are all fine, too. So that's a measure of relief.

I escaped scot free this year, but with only 2 two year olds and about 7 broodmares, it's not too surprising. I had one case of bucked shins last year, but none this year. However, neither of my fillies will race for a while, so I wouldn't have been upset if they had had them.
