I know he was vanned off, and heard it was a tissue injury, but haven't heard anything else. I really like this old guy, I hope he's going to be ok.

I was able to be about 2 feet away from him, in the saddling ring, when he was running against Lava Man in the Gold Cup last year (?) I think it was. What a big beautiful chestnut :) He absolutely glistened! Such a big nice shoulder on him too. I so hope he'll be ok.

Early unconfirmed reports passed by word of mouth is that he was euthanized last night. Nothing from the press. :(

Awww! I loved that old guy! :(

Has anyone heard any updates on Tiz Wonderful? When they said it was potential life-threatening, I was worried.

Out of curiosity, where do you guys hear these rumors? I'm not doubting their validity, it's just people always seem to hear or know these things, and I don't know where from, lol. Are you guys both out of college and in the horse industry?

I emailed TT, DRF, and The Bloodhorse. I asked if they knew anything, and told them he has a following and is much loved, and that he deserves a few paragraphs, one way or the other.

Graded stakes winner Super Frolic euthanized

Grade 2 winner Super Frolic was euthanized as a result of a catastrophic injury he sustained in the Presque Isle Downs Mile Stakes on September 15.

The seven-year-old Pine Bluff horse out of Lindsay Frolic, by Mt. Livermore, shattered a front sesamoid, said Bobby Miller, manager of owner Ro Parra’s Millennium Farms Kentucky in Lexington.

Super Frolic won the 2005 Hawthorne Gold Cup (G2) and four other stakes. He finished third in the 2006 Hollywood Gold Cup Stakes (G1) and Pacific Classic Stakes (G1) and fourth in the ’05 Breeders’ Cup Classic Powered by Dodge (G1).

Bred in Kentucky by Cherokee Farms Inc., Super Frolic won 11 of 43 career starts and earned $1,457,209.

Millennium retired Super Frolic last November to stand him in 2007. When he did not attract a suitable number of mares, the farm placed him back in training.
