Portland Meadows - 9/30
I know this is a long shot (pardon the pun), but I'll be at Portland Meadows for opening day on 9/30. If you are in the Portland area and plan to stop by, let me know!

I'll probably be trying to recover from another Nebraska football loss on Saturday?
When in doubt however, bet the #7.

He is. But the players would have difficulty beating a decent high school team?

Yeah it’ll be a 3/4 mile track with a chute so they can run full 2 turn mile races. They’ll be running a meet next year, pretty excited myself.
yeah

Can't get Stronach to consider a new track in Oregon. But they considering a new one on the East Coast and now Lincoln will have a new track too! Bah!Dylan Christensen wrote: ↑5 years agoYeah it’ll be a 3/4 mile track with a chute so they can run full 2 turn mile races. They’ll be running a meet next year, pretty excited myself.

As far as a new track in Lincoln is concerned, we once had a gem named Aksarben, located in Omaha. The political apparatus here mucked that up big time. So count me in the group somewhat less enthusiastic.

Re: Portland Meadows - 9/30
I don't bet generally. Portland Meadows is a hard track, in my opinion, to bet on. Yesterday the early races favored speed and then the last race of the day a closer trounced the field.
I'm not good at betting overall. I either don't play by the numbers enough or I rely only on them and don't have a good feel for it.

Impossible to handicap the horses coming off the fair circuit too, imo. Sometimes best just to watch and take lots of photos
