Thank you so much to the wonderful artist who made this headshot of Honor The Day. It is beautiful and I love it so much. This was a gift headshot from a very kind and special Simster who I also wish to thank for this lovely headshot. A really spectacular gift.

What does "customization" in the headshot include (or asking another way - what is in a basic, non-customized headshot)?

A basic, non customized is whatever the artist imagines. It can be a full range of any headshot/pose/shade of coat/etc. Sometimes your colors might be on the horse, sometimes not, depending on the image.

But a customized one you get to say, Mouth open, ears back, teeth bared, brown but trending towards copper, my colors on the brow band" etc etc. It's EXACTLY how you desire. Mostly. It's still art.

So a standard headshot I would pay for it and the artist would draw up whatever they liked within reason - I assume they wouldn't make a cross-eyed horse farting at the screen without a check-in :D.

But if I wanted to communicate with the artist ahead of time and specify things such as "has earmuffs" and "braided mane" ... then that would be customized?

Yep!

For Notacatbutalawyer I didn't do a custom headshot, and this is what I got back - it's accurate to his color and marking, of course, but all other decisions were left up to the artist.

For Jane McKeene, Eloquent Sound, and Halley I paid extra for requests - for Jane, I asked for her ears to be forward, that her star be a broad one (so similar to her sire) and that she somewhat resemble her sire as well, and the way that the artist did that was they have very similar cheekbones; she's chestnut like her dam so I wanted her to have attributes of both her parents since she is probably the nicest bred horse I have. For Eloquent Sound, I just asked that she 'look kind.' For Halley, I mentioned what her equipment is and said I had no preference if her equipment is on or not in her headshot, but did request that her stripe be very narrow, and I probably also requested that she look more kind/regal over spirited. You can probably request more specific things than I did, but I always just had a couple little things that I wanted to see on their headshots.

I ordered a headshot November 8th and i was wondering if it didn’t submit. Looking for a update. It says it went through in the gp history.

If you are referring to the one I created, I just free drew it with no image in mind so no pure coincidence!
