Either, neither or both at the same time. The only requirement is that each horse must be a son or daughter of the previous one.

That is an interesting one.

One of the reasons I find this little game fun is sometimes you have to figure out a path through what doesn't look like something all that great (for instance, the Gothic Dream $432,000 --> Fading Dreams $609,000 part) to get where you want to go.

Or you can just pull off a Jack Ryder and have nothing but multimillionaires (and one lousy millionaire, poor guy).

By the way, everyone can feel free to submit any good/interesting lines they want (and as many as they want), even if they don't win.

If you check that bloodline which I shared you will see Symbol wasn't the highest earner in the family neither was Loki Dynasty and they were better choices there.

My first choice of blood line was Black Condor, he has some amazing children and grandchildren.

Okay, so a few more questions because I'm sometimes dense and I need things cleared up. Is this only for Thoroughbreds, and I am assuming we just start from the oldest to the youngest?

Doesn't have to just be thoroughbreds, although I think it will be tough to win with any other breed.

Please list from oldest to youngest, yes.

My best line of mares starting with the foundation mare, Foremost, this is kind of a short list compared to others listed, only 4 offspring, and Foremost herself didn't even make that far past $40k:

Foremost: $40,210
Forgave: $1,328,740
Forethought: $1,403,300
Fortitude: $525,100
Roughian: $4,083,500
------------------------------
$7,380,850.00

Stormy
*Hoping Roughian will add a million or so to this amount by the end of her career. :D

Here's another good Commitisize line, although not as good as Jack's top one:

Commitisize $1,692,000
Image

Tulloch $1,702,000
Image

Crystal Night $8,383,200
Image

Shatterproof $10,428,000
Image

Fumetsu $3,728,000
Image

Feat $3,916,120
Image

Reggie Wayne $29,700 (no headshot)

Deputy Governor $17,012,000

Image

TOTAL $46,891,020

A line with three of the top 24 SIM earnings racers of all time (including No. 1) is pretty good in my book.

I decided to use one of my new foals as a place to decide which line to go into. The foal's line I used has Feat in the line twice so I decided to follow all the way back to Halo who I followed back to Nearco. It did take some time to find the first earning horse in the line I followed, but she finally showed up as the sole foal of Troyanda. So this could be very interesting.

Again went into the pedigree of a foal I bred, and decided to go to the other son of Pharos, Pharis, and following through the prodigy I finally reach the first with prodigy that made any earnings. So we will start this line with an offspring from the sire, Unusual Heat.

It is interesting about this kind of research. I'm trying not to go with the most obvious choice with each next option since you never know if that low earning mare might have produced an exception to the rule.
