Life's been hectic, and I'm under several work deadlines, so this is a streamlined version of last year's contest. Only doing the handicapping portion this year - I hope to bring back the other two portions next year.

This part is simple in theory. Pick the winner of each of these four races. On paper, they look pretty competitive. Post your picks no later than post time (W16W, 11pm Pacific time).

What will be the winning speed figure in the Evening Attire? The closest without going over will win the tie-break.

OK, most of you had one winner. I probably should have been clearer on the tie-break, since two people picked the same speed figure. I'll be clearer next year (ie., first come first serve on picking the speed figure), but for this year, I'll give both players $100,000. Durzo and Mel each had one winner, with the speed figure of 90, which is the actual speed figure. Please lease me one of your underachievers for $100,000 to collect your prize - I'll terminate the lease immediately afterwards. Congratulations!
