Dec. 29th

Post by Fanta Arcadia »

I have my surgery date: December 29th.

Apparently my condition is far more severe than I originally thought. So severe that if I lose ANY motor control it becomes an emergency operation. I have a bilateral ruptured disc, and when the 2nd sentence out of your now Dr.'s mouth is, "you need an operation," you know it's bad.

His first sentence was, "you look better than your MRI suggests..." The only thing I could respond with was, "that would be the drugs."

Prayers and good vibes would be much appreciated guys, but my Doctor is highly confident, just have to stay the course until surgery.

Prayers and a quick, full recovery for you, Fanta! I'll be thinking of you on the 29th.

I have been on painkillers for many years. Multiple stress fractures in my lower back, plus some pretty severe arthritis in joints (my right shoulder doesn't work quite right, anymore, and I am right-handed). Frustrating. So, I can just imagine what a bilateral ruptured disc feels like.
I know you will be glad when the 30th rolls around. Out of surgery on and on the mend!

Thank you all for the well wishes, prayers, and good vibes <3

I'm always thankful for this wonderful community of fabulous people! It's been a trying year working to figure out what's wrong with me, and the relief now that the end is in sight (poetically before the end of this nightmare year) is euphoric.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays all! I'm eager to post the good news on the other side of Tuesday!
