Mona Lisa
This name has a strong connection for me - my mother-in-law passed away back in March. She had a cat Mona Lisa who she absolutely cherished and adored. After she was gone, Mona spent 7 months being mostly ignored until my wife and I were finally able to bring her home with us two weeks ago. Now she's getting spoiled and loved like crazy in her new home.
She's a special girl, and hoping that the filly I named after her also is a special girl. https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1490602

What a wonderful thing to bring in another cat. I hope this filly honors your mother-in-law well, as well as your new furry member of the family!

Re: Mona Lisa
Really difficult update on Mona Lisa's feline namesake - we had to put her to sleep yesterday after discovering a massive tumor in the back of her throat and she was no longer able to eat. Wasn't remotely prepared for this outcome, I thought she'd lost her appetite due to what seemed like the symptoms of an upper respiratory infection and never for a moment thought she wasn't coming home from the vet.
I'm absolutely devastated today, she was my constant work from home companion since we brought her home, and everything just feels completely empty here without her.

you gave her a great last year from the sounds of it. You were both lucky to have each other.

She was so, so lucky to have a home with you, your wife, and the other cats. You made her last year so terrific.

Condolences to you and your wife. These furry wee critters get under our skin in spite of their independence and it just hurts to loose them. So sorry Danny.
