I dabbled in Quarter Horse racing... at the moment I have 5 of them in my racing barn of 194 horses.
I have a filly, that is a Stakes Late Bloomer and I nominated her for the Most American, and when she did ok in some stakes races, I decided to actually run her in the race...just hoping she would pick up some 4th or 5th money....but also crossing my fingers and hoping she could do better than that...and she did...
She WON
I am just Stunned!
This is Bleeped:

and the Race:

Her dam, also foaled a great runner some years ago, Golden Memories:

Golden Memories is on permanent lease to Craig Mcgee.
Diazapam, the dam of both her and Bleeped, passed away with her last foal, who is now 2 years old. Unfortunately, this foal is listed as a solid peaked...so she won't amount to much, even though she's a full sister to Bleeped. Weird how that happens...bad slide, I guess...or ?super good slide on Bleeped?
No matter... I am just, as I said, shocked by my little Bleeped.

Re: Most American Derby OMGosh!!!!
Thanks everyone : )
I haven't had an 'underdog' win like this in a long time.
Also, kudos to Pietro Vella. His entries finished 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. Plus he owns, The Full Monty, who's the sire of Bleeped.
Hopefully, Bleeped will keep earning some big purses and improve on the already great stats of that stallion's offspring.
