I'm one of the newer members to the SIM since I just joined last week. A few of you saw me in the chat one day. :)

In real life I'm 20 and still (stuck) in school. I ride hunter/jumpers and teach some beginner and intermediate lessons. I have been a fan of horse racing for many years. Last fall I even dragged my poor boyfriend to the Breeders' Cup. I really, really wanted to see Ouija Board in her last US start!

In the SIM I have already amassed a motley crew of horses. Thanks to three veteran players (Jolene, Gary, and Leonard) who very graciously sent some talent my way. Thanks also to Laura Ferguson for answering some questions. Everyone has been wonderfully friendly so far. :)

That said, here's my bunch...

Thanks to Jolene for this lovely guy. Credit goes to her for setting both the race and the equipment. Looks like I'll be keeping him where he is.

Not really sure what to do with this guy. I think his equipment is finally right, but he still doesn't seem to, well, do anything. LOL Should he maybe try another 6f or 7f race?

Gettysburg

I'm thinking about trying him on the dirt. What does an "even finish" indicate? Any problems (overclassed, equipment, etc.)? Just an indication of talent? Anything, anything?

My first purchase. I thought about adding blinkers back on and maybe trying a drop in class from his last two starts.

Thanks to Gary Cooper for this one. I'm excited for this little guy to grow up and get races with some more ground in them.

Munich

And thanks finally to Leonard Beagle! Should he go back on Lasix? Tiring late in his last start (6f) just seemed odd since his best finish was at 8.5f.

Welcome, Ainsley. I will comment on Munich, since I briefly trained him. He should definitely go back on lasix (I think that was an accident by Leonard), but he might still tire at 6 furlongs, trying to keep up with those sprinters. I think he'll like going a mile to 9 furlongs best. If you run him at that distance on dirt in 25-35k claimers (or find short maiden fields) he'll break maiden eventually. He'd also be useful at Trial Park. Eric Nalbone gives away beautiful yearlings to the winners of the first two races (races 1 & 2) at Trial Park (see the Dare To Dream sponsorship program). Munich would be perfect for a lot of those races, as a number of them end up being 3&up dirt mile maidens. Right up his alley!

Yeah, I'm an idiot.....NO EQUIPMENT AT ALL! Ha, I'm going to blame that one on the equipment changeover we had a few weeks back.

As for my exciting day, Ainsley called me a 'veteran'. HA!!!

And Scott Eiland mentioned my name in his latest article. (Forget Mike, it'll be Leonard from now on!)

What a day!!!!!
