The Year 63 Baltimore Crown for 3 year old is this Friday and as of Wednesday evening there are 7 entries of the 16 possible entries.
https://www.simhorseracing.com/race.php?RaceID=2004621
Laura Ferguson's Grand Canyon, first in the Louisville Derby, has entered her Louisville Derby winner in the second leg of the American Triple Crown.
Other entries include: Cindy Saunders' Be A Daydreamer (2nd), Carole Hansen's Among Us (3rd), Eric Gray's The Next Big Thing (4th), Cleo Patra's Royal Assassin (5th), Lily Wilkins' Quinny (8th) and Gwayne World's Trevorly (1st in the Mexican Derby week 5.1), are the current entries.
My personal opinion is that the smaller field may benefit Everybody Wake Up, 6th in the Derby, so that he could maximize his mid-pack running style with out having to dodge the Louisville Derby's rush hour traffic. Also, classy speed on the lead And Then We Danced may relish being the lone speed in this Baltimore Crown 1 3/16 mile test. But that is just my opinion looking in from the outside. jX

Re: Year 63 Baltimore Crown Week 7 This Friday
I'm glad my hotheaded colt was mentioned in this nice group of 3-year-olds, Jon.
Although the spot for an early speed-runner may remain open, since I believe my youngling horse may find the Baltimore Crown a tad shorter than he'd feel comfortable with.
Good luck to all the runners!

This is such a nice field. Who thinks Grand Canyon can do the double?

I'm going to be driving back from LA (thanks Southwest) and basically on the road non stop for 2 days, with literally the goal being to make it back in time for race calls. Will it happen? Let's find out.

If you miss this one, does that mean I get to win it like last time?

I've got And Then We Danced/Grand Canyon/The Next Big Thing (if trifecta bets were a thing in-game, anyway) but this is such a great field. We need the heart eyes emoji.
Notacatbutalawyer 16: 8-3-1, earnings of $381,300 Founder Stakes, Flat Out Stakes, Lexington Race Course Stakes, Dade County Classic, Sunshine State Stakes, Distorted Reality Stakes, Midnight in the Sahara Stakes

Emily, please drive safely which means lay off the Slim Jims & Mountain Dew and take it easy on the Willie Nelson on the road tunes.
Southwest is done.
Good idea Nicole; a Baltimore Crown Trifecta contest.
For SIM $500,0000 from me from my snowy day fund.
Post selections in finish order in this subject thread only please.
-> 3 pts for 1st, 2 pts for 2nd, 1 point for 3rd. If tied, players split the pool.
ETA: Selections locked 1 hour prior to post time.
My Crown Trifecta
1. Be A Daydreamer
2. Banksy
3. The Next Big Thing
All In Fun, jX
