Figure Eight Equip has new Abbreviation FE
Just noticed that for those who requested that the F-8 noseband have a new abbreviation, you got your wish, it has been changed to FE. Thank You, Em AKA The Steward.

Fiery eyes? Why do I want to add fiery eyes to my horse? Will it run faster now?

Re: Figure Eight Equip has new Abbreviation FE
The good news for me is that I have my display set so it was fb and f8 (rather than FB and F8 which look very similar) and now it is fb and fe (rather than FB and FE which look somewhat similar).

Re: Figure Eight Equip has new Abbreviation FE
I should have looked at the forum topics first...lol. I pulled up the original one just a few minutes ago and posted a 'Thanks You'
Then saw this post after I did that.
It's a small, small detail change for the Sim, but I think it's one that's going to keep me from making mistakes again with equipment, by not accidently seeing/reading the wrong piece due to my sometimes diabetic caused, blurred vision.

Just to be clear, I hate it. It's driving me nuts. Looks more like a periodic table of elements instead of a piece of equipment.

Makes for a good mnemonic, though:Brad Fabman wrote: ↑1 year ago Just to be clear, I hate it. It's driving me nuts. Looks more like a periodic table of elements instead of a piece of equipment.
fe = Iron on the periodic table of elements -- a figure eight (fe) bit is made of metal...
as opposed to front bandages (fb) that are made from a 'bolt' of cloth: )
Also, my golden retriever, AU (Au = gold on the periodic table) is sad that you don't like symbols from that table turning up on other things. :p

Well, I am wired to be resistant to change. I usually can adapt and sometimes even find the good in change. This won't be one of those times. On the flipside, I'm not resistant to learning new things. Like the definition of "mnemonic". I had to look that up. LOL

Re: Figure Eight Equip has new Abbreviation FE
Yeah my job involves me seeing 'fe' for 'iron' a lot and I can't say I like this change (not that there was a change, but what it was changed to). I'll just have to get used to it.Brad Fabman wrote: ↑1 year ago Just to be clear, I hate it. It's driving me nuts. Looks more like a periodic table of elements instead of a piece of equipment.
