Best Stat for Studs

Post by The Steward »

Posting this in Racing because I'm trying to draw eyes.

This was suggested in Two Small Things: "-Can we get an open spots column in the stallions/bookings pages. I like to check in on what stallions are running out of space "

But we already show how many slots used/available ie 100/150 in the bred column

Would you RATHER have the math done for you ie it will show 50 instead of 100/150 or would you rather see the 100/150, OR do you really think we need two separate columns to sort by?

I think this was my comment. I didn't necessarily need someone to do the math for me, my bigger issue was when I sorted by the bred column it was sorting by the number of mares bred to a stallion which wasn't necessarily sorting by the number of open spots so to see which stallions were running out you still had to look through the list rather than just go to the top once sorted. It looks like the sorting has since been changed (thanks!) so now even though it shows the numbers the old way the issue that inspired me to make the comment has been addressed.

It would hurt my brain if we changed this.

If we were going to add any columns, then I'd love to see total foals or total gallops added. That way you have context for the freak/stake/allowance etc %s

The maths isn't too complex.
