The official answer one receives when asking this question is that they already have a G1 race w16, which is the All Weather Futurity.
Do not ask about why other divisions get Los Camp, Sprint Champs etc AND a Steward's Cup w16. Do not count the number of turf mile G1s between 15d5 and 16d4. You take your one G1 race and be grateful for it.
