Retirement

Post by Keith Maidlow »

I was waiting for gallops to open to see if anything special happened and it didn't. With that said, I have initiated an auction of all my horses (12) that will open on Monday 7/24 ( hate to see "Barn Dispersal" auctions). One week later the auction will close and I will officially retire after a little more than 16 real years in the SIM. It's been a wonderful time here winning big races, losing big races, having top horses and not having top horses. I've interacted with so many great people, enjoyed the comradery and even some of the turmoil. I thought about reminiscing about a bunch of the fake horse and a bunch of the real people I've met but decided I might miss naming one or two and prefer not accidently leaving anyone out. I will single out one person who has created a game that kept a 61 year old man entertained until he sits here as a 77 year old man. That person is the creator and maintainer of this game Madam Steward, Em. You have always been a pleasure to deal with, a super nice person and I can only wish you the best in all you do. Stay well, be safe and enjoy life in and out of SIM Horseracing!!!

Thanks to all!

Keith, I've been here 16 years too, and in November I will turn 60, so... one year younger than you were when you joined the game.

It's always sad to see someone leave the game, especially those who's presence has just been a part of the game for so very long.
I will miss seeing your name, your silks, and your horses in the game.

Wishing you the best !!!

I hope you enjoy the new hobby to which you dedicate yourself, and if you don't enjoy it as much as you thought - then will look forward to welcoming you back!
