Fast Yearlings

Post by Gwen Morse »

Some fast works from my yearlings:

TM

0:45.97. My freak TM filly: https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1729152

TR
I also have three TR yearlings on the top 50 page. They may not all stay there as more workouts come in but I'm still very pleased:

0:57.95. A granddaughter of my TR mare Notre Timing: https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1735731
0:57.99. My Auguste Rodin auction filly: https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1737965
0:58.03. A layaway yearling bred for me by Kelly Haggerty: https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1728629

0:57.94. An honorable mention to Mr. Lord Rich's great-grandson of Notre Timing: https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1773651

Notre Timing is a bit of a foundation mare for me. Dan Chartier gave her to me a million years ago when I was at Trial Park (thanks Dan!) and she's given me three broodmares of three retired daughters. I'm liking the next generation :D.

Who else has fast yearlings they want to celebrate?

That's exciting you have all those nice yearlings, especially the one from the Notre Timing dam-line. Must feel nice to have some from a mare you got at the start of your time here! Hopefully that filly can get the line going even stronger.

I'm beyond excited for my crop. I thought last year was good but this year might be even better (just hoping they run like it!).

Heart of Darkness is my big filly (in both hopes and actual size). She blew up the track in her first workout, 34.54 for the 3f, and then 21.44 for her next at 2f, which is absolutely smokin' for my crew this early on. She's in a tie for fastest yearling in both categories at the moment.

Where Then Is Truth is my surprise filly. Out of a formidable dam and from the first crop of her sire, I feel like I got very lucky. She's tied with Heart of Darkness for fastest 2f, and is tied at fifth fastest at the 3f mark going 34.66.

But the real proof will be once they hit the track, and I'm hoping they aren't just happy fast workers and sad slow racers.
