Derby / Oaks scratched horses
Early Thursday morning my Oaks entry, Heart something and my Derby entry, Heart something were just winding up for a short breeze on the backstretch when another horse propped & unseated her rider and bolted around the first turn the wrong way. The blue light lit up and the loose horse siren sounded. My colt and my filly were right next to the siren and both took off in a trice at a hard gallop. Through no fault of either Carlos or Ian, the colt and filly banged into one another and both returned to the barn area washed out wrecks. Both no hope super long shots have been SCRATCHED. Heart cannot compensate for a lack of quality training leading up to these historically significant Grade 1 races for 3 year old colts and fillies. With apologies for the late scratches, jX

Oh dear. Well at least they are back in the barn. Good luck to all entrants. Good luck to those running maidens and claimers on Derby Day. Good luck to those just waiting for....Week 7 milers, Week 9 improvements, Week 10 routers, or next Festivus. Wherever your hope is coming from, good luck.
