I just realized that my Oaks winner (and second millionaire I've ever bred) did not have a post here.
This is Teal. Many of you know her by now, because she's freaking awesome. One of my major longstanding SIM goals has been to win the Louisville Oaks (I came frustratingly close with Baby Shark Doo Doo in Y57) and it still feels pretty surreal to have won it, especially with a measly "Stakes" galloper.
Last night I put her into the Baltimore Oaks for fun and she ran better than I expected on a one-week turnaround. This filly truly exceeds my expectations every time she runs.
I'm not sure if she'll run at four. As far as I'm concerned, she has nothing left to prove to me, and she likely has decent broodmare potential since The Steward wanted to buy her at one point
It would be so cool if she produced my Derby winner!!
~ Teal's Resume ~
17: 10-4-2 | $2,075,500 | BSF: 97
At Two:
> WINNER of the G1 Gold Star Stakes
At Three:
> WINNER of the G1 Louisville Oaks
> WINNER of the G3 Clearwater Oaks

> WINNER/DH in the G1 Baltimore Distaff
> WINNER in the G2 Zany Antics Stakes
Non-Sponsored Stakes wins: 7
Remained a "Stakes" galloper her entire career.

Re: Teal!
Itβs bittersweet to think that tonight is my girlβs second to last start. Iβm looking forward to her beginning her broodmare career, but Iβll definitely miss having her in my racing string.

Re: Teal!
My dear Teal just keeps giving! She's rated "Blue Hen" and seems to love throwing A+ nicks! Last night, she delivered TWIN fillies by the ultra impressive freshman sire Master of Deception. The future looks bright for Teal as a broodmare. Hopefully I can update this thread with offspring updates in the coming years

Re: Teal!
Congrats on getting such a nice mare!
I hope she gives you lots of stakes and freaky type foals : ) And then some nice blue hens and a great stallion or 3.
I didn't see a link to her in your prior posts, so here's one, if anyone wishes to look at her pedigree and such.
