My new name for one of my favorite SIM weeks, mid-year gallops and entering the 2yo routers!

Wait, do they change after Friday results, or is it after BTs on Sunday? I've been around long enough, you'd think I'd be able to keep this stuff straight

It is after BT, but to me the week always "turns" after Friday results because that's when I pull the plan together for the next week. Plus, I really really like Hope-ivus.

Is it too much to ask that many of the horses in my "We're Not Worthy" Barn and my "Four Left Feet" Barn suddenly become Freaks?
They can at least find themselves in a new barn with better accomodations if they do.

How do you guys normally do with mid-season gallops? Do you gallop everyone, and don't care if you're tiring the horses, or, how do you do?
I myself have previously only galloped horses which ran week 7 and 8. Horses running week 9 is not galloped until after week 9. How do you guys do?

The only ones I train are the 2 year olds and up late bloomers. Non late bloomers are generally at the races and their performance will tell if anything has changed. I find the yearlings don’t tend to change until they turn 2.

I've never had a yearling or 2yo peak at this point in their lives, so all I am galloping/will gallop are the 3yo and up LBs.

I rest a bunch in anticipation of galloping. Good results this time including:

2yo freak progressive TR is now freak peak just in time to debut
2yo "shed" DS is now a freak. I was already considering him for the SC, so really happy about that
I also have a new chase stakes horse

Two new freaks for me, one 2y/o TS who already had a stakes win with a 92, the other a 2y/o DM/DR Bannerlord filly. Pretty pleased with my crew!
