Here is what I saw, all paints:

Stakes = 2 (4.4%) - Son of a Paint & Painted Turnpike
Allowance = 26 (57.8%)
Productive = 14 (31.1%)
Solid = 3 (6.7%)

Total = 45

My largest crop since the late year 50s and not great. Stakes was 1 horse and a slightly higher percentage more than last year but lower than the preceding years. Allowances were also down some with more solids than normal.

Super excited for a few of the stakes, even named one already which I never do, RB19 (Ok, so I just watched qualifying, that car is a masterpiece), her dam is just something else. Ali gave me a Stakes/progressive, Ruger and White River are proven producers who gave me Stakes/Late, White River's is a full sister to Rebel Cavalry. Ruger is essentially my foundation Tri distance broodmare

Particularly excited about https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1824273 who is a stakes LB half-sister to Rah Rah Rasputin, sired by State of Euphoria who also gave me Egg. Egg has won several stakes + third in SC and just bloomed today, so will definitely be visiting State of Euphoria with more mares in the future.
And of course the freak LB https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1824029 has a pedigree saturated with the most popular sires on the dam's side, but brings in a fresh sire line and if he actually performs on the track, might make a nice outcross type down the road.

Had about an even mix of allowance and productive gallops for appaloosas and arabian sprinters, we really don't need to talk about the quarters...

I had money issues so I only bred 16 and didn't lease any high-end mares. Given all that, the results were okay but a step back from my first crop in the game last season, which included 3 Stakes out of about 20 mid Paints.

If I figured it right it has been 6 seasons and counting since I bred a Freak QH yearling. It almost seems that the gallop levels are getting higher every season in Mixers.

Looks like my last yearling freak was Year 60, so the year before gallops were adjusted. But have had some later improve to freak. Not complaining though I like that its harder to get freak/stakes gallops it should mean something. What I'd like to see is an adjustment on allowance gallopers as I have the spectrum from allowance gallopers that can win stakes races to allowance gallopers that can't win a 3k maiden claimer.

I agree, no complaints, I like the trivial aspect, but there is something about breeding a freak that feels good.
Have not felt that in a long time.
