Spatula

Spatula was a beast on the track a true duel distance threat.
He started his career at the route distance, in his 3yo year he finished 2nd in the Derby, 2nd in the Crown and then went on to win the Queen's Derby. Spatula won another G1 3 weeks later in the Canadian Fraternity, but then was smoked in the Classic.

At 4 I kept him running against the routers where he started off the season winning the Pegasus Classic. He struggled the remainder of his 4 year old season, Guessing he was just waiting to turn 5.

Now 5 he once again started his season in the Pegasus Classic, but this time he could do no better than 4th. His rebounded 2 weeks later winning the Saudi Cup which was his last taste of success against routers. 2 weeks later he shortened up to a mile and triumphed in the Desert Mile. He continued running at the miler distance running 4 more G1 times capping off his 5yo season with a win in the SC Dirt Mile.

He remained in training at 6 having a pretty decent season with wins in the Desert Mile and Long Island Mile. His Last race was no slouch finishing 2nd in the SC Dirt Mile to a long shot Still Here Dancing

Spatula was such a pleasure to race and one of the most consistent horses I have had the pleasure of owning.
He will be missed once he has officially pensioned, but there is still a chance to get a piece of this pedigree.

There are roughly 48 hours left to breed to him. His fee has been dropped to a reasonable 20K for the remainder of his stud career.

Good luck and thank you too all who have gave him a chance through the years.
